cancun cravings

I was lucky enough to go to Cancun last May with a group of wonderful friends & this cold,windy, bitter, bipolar weather is making me miss it more than ever!! It's time to plan another trip... any ideas?? My only requirement is that it's a warm place with a beach lol to me you can't relax if there's snow or a windchill below 30. On another note I finished the studded button-up D.I.Y. project, but I'm just waiting to decide what I want to pair with it for its huge blog-debut! Other exciting news is that I'm trying to move my schedules around so I'll have 1 whole day a week off from both jobs & school (Eeeeek I can't even imagine) Hope everyones week is supa-dupa so far! I can NOT get enough of this wonderful weather .. however it does play with my heart strings a little bit. 3 weeks til Spring Break!! I don't know why our spring break is so much later than everyone else's, oh well I guess that will just make me that much more excited when it decides to show up. I don't have any plans set in place so far but I'm def. gonna figure something out. I'm really excited for April 23rd because my parents are coming (from Ohio) !! I haven't seen them since the wedding .. wait jk I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving whatever it seems like forever!

I found this dress hidden between two gaudy-sequiny dresses at the Value Village not too far from my house, & it has been true love ever since. I love how it flares out at the bottom because it makes my waist look tiny which is no easy task lol also it reminds me of the flowy dresses I wore back in elementary school (I'm all for nostalgia) ! These wedges were a "spiteful-buy" I was supposed to be shopping with David for a new shirt or something & I accidently left the store & tried these wedges on. David is 6'3 & doesn't like when we are both the same height so he did his "pained" face when I told him I was going to get them, that face however usually tells me that the item is fashionable. Haha whatever I love them & have gotten so much use out of them so I say job well done!! 

I don't wanna studyyyy!!

wow 2 posts in 1 day .. this one isn't very uplifting lol I really do not feel like studying for my modern history midterm (which is tomorrow .. well technically today) so what do I do ?? Take pictures on photobooth & decide what new shoes I want.

The Showdown .. my hometown or his??

Last night we went to the D.C. United vs. Columbus Crew game. It had some serious significance to it lol. I grew up in Columbus, and David grew up here in D.C. so there was a lot riding on this game "who is from the better city." Unfortunately Columbus lost in the fight (3-1) which was ok because I feel like D.C. is my home now. We went to the game with our friends Gina & Kybo. Gina & I "engaged ourselves in the game" aka we had a photo-shoot while the boys watched the game. It was a nice alternative to the typical Saturday night either working, going to a lounge/club, or staying at home. It was also really wonderful getting my mind off of midterms which I still have on Tuesday :(   I'm struggling right now between two majors the one I really want to take Hospitality, and the one that's more practical Communication. Anyways, enough of that gibberish David & I topped off the night by going to one of our new favorite cozy little nooks 4 Seasons Grille (not to be confused w/ the sweet hotel). I had a yummy glass of wine which went perfectly with the beef carpaccio I got & David got a crab cake sandwich it was so good I definitely stole a good 4 bites. Hope everyone had a relaxing/productive weekend! I'm really such a lucky girl to be surrounded by so many wonderful people, especially David. At the beginning of the night I was in a "mood" & he's such a sweetiepie and got me right out of it. He always knows what to do to distract me from being a grouch yupp.. sorry for being mushyy

Sooo ... I'm gonna try & do a "menu" every month to showcase some D.I.Y.s I'm going to attempt haha. Also just to let you all know about projects & plans I have to look forward to. I can't believe I haven't gotten out of bed yet .. I'm allowed to have 1 lazy day right?? Alrighty I have to get started on my homework & studying :(   I've got 2 mid-terms next Thursday .

It's almost never nice & sunny on my days off, so you can understand why I was so excited to get to spend some time outside with Champ our dog who was polite to pose for a shot with me. This past weekend I had a lovely little date with David at this italian restaurant in Georgetown called Paper Moon it was so yummy!! He had the Pizza club & I had these two past tubes stuffed with cheese & chicken in a pesto sauce (derrrrishious) I could definitely go for some right now! Afterwards we stopped by Ben & Jerry's for some Coconut Seven Layer ice cream which is a favorite of both of ours. On another note I was productive today (who would have thought?) I finished all my homework, went to the gym. & deposited my tips from last week!! Yupp yupp you gotta get excited about even the little things but I'm off to work hope everyone has a great week!!

Ok so my life has basically been consumed by school & what little energy I have left is being sucked dry by work. Alright i'm finished whining .. for now. Last night I had a table ask me if this was my "real" job .. I was like WOWWW now I'm really depressed lol jk jk I don't care people say all sorts of things to waitresses that are ridiculous so I didn't let it get to me. School stinks (ok 1 more complaint) but I'm actually not doing too shabby & my humanities class is a lot of fun I love looking at all the beautiful hotels and restaurants across the country. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up but I'm definitely finding out what I do NOT want to do haha and that's be a waitress from now to infinity. Back to better things the weather has been so yummmy lately :) it just really makes everything better! Oh yeah if there were fashion police at my school they would have shot me dead in my tracks this morning haha. I literally rolled out of bed & went to school, then strait to life guarding when my boss says ,"please tell me you didn't wear that to school" .. yupp it was funny but at least I have some pics from a little bit ago I really like the outfit  it's a comfy denim button up w/ tights which need to be replaced by leggings haha so it's a little less scandalous/bootylishous but yeah hopefully I'll get some cute photos snapped up this weekend <3
