Today is my one & only little sister, Wyndra's 12th Birthday! I can't believe she's turning 12 today, because I'll always see her as my "baby" sister. When I asked her what she wanted for her B-day she said, "high top chuck taylors" (orange specifically). Here's the problem I've looked high & low but can't find the orange & high-top combo :(  It's ok though because I'm going to have her design her own custom pair online which will be even cooler! I can't wait to see what she comes up with, so needless to say her B-day inspired my WIWW post <3

I've been such a bum lately lol. I haven't done my hair properly since last week (aka straitening it), The only makeup I've worn since last week is mascara, & I think my co-workers think I'm homeless from my recent wardrobe choices. Whew, now that that's behind us lol I have a new goal in mind (I give it 1 week tops) to take better control of my eating habits because they're a bit out of control so we'll see how that goes I'm starting it the day after tomorrow because I still have a YUMMMY sandwich that I didn't end up eating for lunch today. Anyways, tomorrow I am GOING to look nice & acceptable for work & possibly even wear makeup so I'll try & remember to take a pic before leaving but it will probably look rough because I am N O T a morning person, also tomorrows what I want Wednesday, & I don't even know what I want yet ahhh!! Oh yayy I just got an idea for it so make sure to check back for a special WIWW edition:) sorry for all this rambling I'm broke right now but if I was RICH this is where I'd want to live & what I'd want to do with my house !! Unfortunately I don't think David would ever let me have all this PINK :( but I can still dream<3

What happens in VEGAS ...

This weekend has been kinda dreary with all the rain & the storms. I wish David was here so at least we could chill & watch movies but he's on the West coast visiting friends. I'm kinda jealous that he's off doing all this fun stuff including going to Vegas, but he definitely deserves a break before school. Since I can't go to Vegas myself, I'll have to settle for this little creation I whipped up :)

FABB in Floral

This past Wednesday I was lucky enough to go to my first DC FABB event at the adorable Violet boutique in D.C.  I must say that it exceeded ALL of my expectations for the event. All of the ladies that attended were not only so cute & stylish, but on top of that everyone was so nice & sweet. It was so awesome to be around so many cool people who all have similar interests & passions. It's also interesting to meet the people in person & get to know them as well as follow their blogs. A huge thank you to Julie (owner of the boutique), Lacey, & Liz!! I didn't feel like lugging my camera around so I don't have any pictures from the event :( However I did walk away with a little somethin' somethin' which I will show you guys later :) afterwards I snapped some shots of my outfit & a sneak peak of my purchase <3 OMG I forgot to mention my room is a M E S S & that's being generous. But I did find someone new or should I say something new to take my pics since David hates taking them lol you can find it 5 pictures down

Last Saturday I went to 3 different thrift stores, can you say DREAM DAY?!? I actually went about choosing clothes differently than how I normally do. I'm one of those people who has the mind set of "ooohhh this piece of clothing is weird/border line ugly I LOVE IT!! & I'm gonna make it work" ... what happens is I chop it up and try to "alter" it key word T R Y. Sometimes it works & when it does it's magic but to the thrifted scraps at the bottom of my closet who have never seen daylight I'm sorry :( nothing personal lol. Sooo back to the point of my story I only bought pieces that we're GREAT from the start & those included: a lime blouse, a nude blazer, & a brown patterned tunic! So excited because these are 3 items that are nothing like anything I currently own .. soooo that means that I will probably wear them more. Yupp, ohh yeah also I saw this adorable girl at the thrift store & like the creeper that I am I asked if I could take her picture for my blog. I think I definitely freaked her out, but she was sweet enough to pose for a few pics, thanks!!

You guessed it, I kinda looove charm bracelets I just think they're so cute & kinda little girly but I think that's their "charm" omg I really need to stop with these corny jokes.

Unfortunately I don't have any Y E T, however I'm on the prowl. I think out of these 4 my favorite is the rose gold Betsy Johnson followed closely by the gold Juicy Couture in the upper right hand corner. Which one do you like?? David's leaving for Cali today, & his friends are picking him up from the airport & driving strait to Las Vegas ... needless to say I'm a little envious, but he deserves it :)

PEANUT-BUTTA CHOCOLATE TIME

I spent this last wonderful Sunday afternoon/evening with some friends baking cupcakes & watching scary movies (I haven't seen a scary movie in 5 yrs cause I'm a wimp). I definitely liked the baking cupcakes & eating pizza part better than the scary movie ... obviously. The cupcakes we're muy delicioso!! Georgetown Cupcakes better watch out jkjk they weren't that good but I loved them all the same. Of course I had to document the process.

mouthwateringggg .. we used chocolate store bought cake-mix .. we're not that good YET. we scooped out little pieces from the middle & put peanut butter in the middle. To continue the chocolate overload we added chocolate icing & to top it off we added a little piece of a reeses cup to it! Bon' a petit until next time :)  && how could I forget I got to experience my first earth quake today during work quite a surprise. 

  

3 wisemen & me

Last Saturday night I went to Baltimore with David to meet up with 2 of my BEST BEST BEST guy friends (the closest thing I have to brothers) we went to a collegey bar which was really funny because the top floor had been rented out to all the UMBC dental students, & let me just say I will never be able to look at my dentist in the same way lol. I didn't even realize when I was putting my outfit together that I had picked out my nude pumps to wear, so that pretty much perfectly fits in since I just did that WIWW post on nude pumps last week. I thought the title was funny because at the bar I ordered us shots of 3 wisemen (consisting of Mr.Walker, Daniels, & Beam) which I thought was funny because I was hanging out with "3 wisemen" wow corny joke alert w/e I thought it was funny. It was a fun night I played 4 square w/ some random people so it was a great way to end the night!

snuggling&snacks

This past week kicked my butt! So last night we decided to get some movies & snacks and just chill out. I must say that staying in, snuggling, snacking, & watching movies is definitely under rated! It was so nice to just wear  comfy clothes & just lay in bed watching movies! Unfortunately I'm still obsessed with my new camera & insisted on taking pictures last night of our Friday night in. Hope you're weekends been relaxing!

SUSHI&SAYONARAS

Two of my dearest friends Becca & Tree are leaving me for the west coast :( Well actually they're already there since we went to get Sushi last week to say Sayonara (hence the title).  I'm sad to see them go but I know they're on to bigger & better things. So last Tuesday we went to East Moon it was scrumptious! I had a philadelphia roll, a scallop roll, & a dancing ocean roll .. ughh I'm drooling as I'm typing this it was soo good. Also I got to use my new camera for the first time!! It's definitely going to take some getting used to adapting from my little sony camera I've had since high school to my new Fujifilm camera, but I'm UP for the challenge. Alright enough blabbering on to the pictures :)

 Sorry for the last couple of pics David & I were just messing around with the camera trying to get the hang of it. I bought these Steve Madden flats on sale for $12.00 at TJ Maxx months ago just because they were so cheap, but since I've started working I've worn them to death. I love it when you buy something on a whim & then end up wearing them all the time .. yupp just thought I'd share that with you!
